Structural Evaluation of Cable Bolts under Static Loading

چکیده
Rock bursts are a natural phenomenon that caused by high stresses and faults within the deep geological profile. The framework mining excavations, comprising various rock face supports such as cable bolts, is required to withstand bursts. These mechanisms subject static dynamic loading conditions which possess unique challenges. This study focused on shearing impact of loads key structural support mechanism designed absorb energy investigate impacts bolt diameter strength. A double shear test was modelled using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software ABAQUS/Explicit. Modelling (FEM) creating individual parts, assigning material contact properties applying load directly central block. Because ABAQUS/Explicit used, primarily analysis tool, quasi-static loading, applied negate time scale. total six diameters strengths were tested. positive correlation exhibited between diameter, yield strength maximum force displacement.

Modeling of human calvarium under static loading
There are many papers on head modeling in literature [1]. Generally, the topic of most of them is designing and modeling devices for head (especially brain) protection, e.g. helmets. On the other side, most papers are about modeling of whole part of top body (a torso and a head). The main aim of these researches is simulation of the backbone behavior under external load applied to the head. The...
متن کاملInnovative approach to strata reinforcement in coal mines with reference to evaluation cable bolts shear strength
There is an increasing need to determine accurately the strength properties of tendons for an effective ground control on mines and underground structures as well as on modelling simulations. The strength properties of cables, used as cable bolts, have been evaluated mainly by their ultimate tensile strength, as this kind of test can be carried out in the field as well as in the laboratory. Onl...
متن کاملGeometrico-static Analysis of Under-constrained Cable-driven Parallel Robots
This paper studies the kinematics and statics of cable-driven parallel robots with less than six cables, in crane configuration. A geometrico-static model is provided, together with a general procedure aimed at effectively solving, in analytical form, the inverse and direct position problems. The stability of equilibrium is assessed within the framework of a constrained optimization problem, fo...
متن کاملApplication of Artificial Neural Networks for Analysis of Flexible Pavements under Static Loading of Standard Axle
In this study, an artificial neural network was developed in order to analyze flexible pavement structure and determine its critical responses under the influence of standard axle loading. In doing so, more than 10000 four-layered flexible pavement sections composed of asphalt concrete layer, base layer, subbase layer, and subgrade soil were analyzed under the impact of standard axle loading. P...
متن کاملAn experimental study of axial load transfer mechanisms of cable bolts using axially split embedment apparatus
The load transfer mechanisms of cable bolts differ from those for normal rebar bolts. The cable bolts used in mines are basically steel strands with different constructions depending on the number of wires or elements and the way they are laid. Tendon bolts (rebar and cable) are normally evaluated for their strength and load transfer properties. The tendon strength can be evaluated by the tensi...
